You're probably asking, when you see the butterflies everywhere, why I chose butterflies. The Butterfly Project is the reason why there are butterflies every where on this forum.
The Butterfly Project was what first brought self-harm, and how it effects people, to my attention. Follow the rules above, and post pictures of your butterfly below.
Here is my Butterfly:

Interesting. Hadn't heard of this before. Sounds a bit cheesy to me, but maybe I'll give it a go.

So, this was actually in honor of my grandmother, but has come to mean a lot more than that to me. I got it back when I was fourteen, almost fifteen, because we knew a guy and yeah, whatever, details are not important, but around fifteen is when my troubles started, and that butterfly has seen everything, and one day, I plan on getting another, on my wrist, to signify that my struggles are over. My sister, being the huge Potterhead that she is got "Avada Kedavra" tattooed on her wrist opposite where she has "Love" with angels wings. She never went through self-harm or anything like that, but she did go through a lot growing up, and those tattoos mean a lot to her, as mine means a lot to me. I designed it myself, and I am proud of my little butterfly that has been my guardian during everything I went through.

Need A Supportive Butterfly? 'Cause there's always room for another. But always remember, no matter what you do, Don't give up that things will get better.

I've named every butterfly on my arm after someone here on the forum and even after a few people who aren't registered here. And I plan to meet many more people and give them their own butterfly.
